Devotion for Today:
2“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there r to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.s 4You know the way to the place where I am going.”

There are a few verses in Scripture that describe eternal life, but these few verses are rich with promises. Here Jesus says, “I am going there to prepare a place for you,” and “I will come back.” We can look forward to eternal life because Jesus has promised it to all who believe in him. Although the details of eternity are unknown, we need not fear because Jesus is preparing for us and will spend eternity with us.

Golf/Life Application
A pro-golfer credits his daily routine of reading the Bible and talking to God with bringing calm and perspective to his life in spite of the ups and downs on the tour. “It’s like my golf game,” he said:
The more I practice my putting or chipping or striking or whatever – trusting in the fundamentals, in the process, and in the drills, the more contentment and peace I have with those aspects of my game. In the same way, if I get the Word every day, it just seems to bring about more peace and contentment. The more I get into it, the more I do devotions, the more I’m learning and growing, the better off I am spiritually. It’s not that I have the magic formula here or have all this nailed down – but I know what I need to do on a daily basis, and I know that contentment comes from consistency in my life.
